Mulryjewels featured on MTV's MADE

The after-school show, MADE, on the MTV Network, is a show that inspires teens to break out of their shell as it proves to them that they can transcend their assigned teenage "role" as the geek, the jock, the drama queen, the cheerleader, or the outcast. Last week, the intimidating "tough girl" Ariana became a beautiful pageant girl in a GORGEOUS teal gown, but not without the help of MULRYJEWELS! Featured in her look is a Double Stranded Crystal Teardrop Necklace. Take a look:

Ariana handled herself with grace and poise as she showed the world, and, more importantly, herself, that she is beautiful and that she can be friendly, approachable, and let her inner beauty shine through. It sounds cheesy when I write it that way but it is a very inspiring show. I have become a fan. Check your local listings :D

Fouth of July

What did you do for the Fourth of July? I went to my Father-in-law's house and made them this cake. It was my Step-Mother-in-law's birthday on the 5th (today! happy bday, Nina.) It took a long time but I think it turned out good:

The real surpris was on the Inside!

The family was pleasantly surprised :D Now we have a million pounds of cake left over. Feel free to come over for a slice :P

Thanks and HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

Hi,

Mulryjewels has just joined www.bridetobe.com and will be featured on LongIslandWeddings.com as well. Click HERE to go to the page listing.

So far this is not the easiest website to navigate and it took a little digging to find my listing on it. Hopefully, though, this will attract some attention for wedding season. I LOVE doing wedding jewelry! It is so special and I love the customization to make the pieces fit in perfectly with the venue, colors, and themes. More news to come as this season unfolds.

And...We're Back!

After some winter hybernation, Mulryjewels is Back! Here is the newest item:

This is the Cristin Teardrop. Proceeds from the sales of this necklace will benefit the Cristin Bambino Memorial Scholarship fund.

Cristin was a friend from high school. Five years ago she died sadly from a seizure, as she was epilleptic. A scholarship has been set up in her name to benefit students of technical theatre, or , in other words, the backstage. Cristin was very involved in our High School's drama program, but never as the start on stage. She did the program crew, historian crew, worked backstage for the shows, and was the best and Nicest Stage Manager Ever. There is also a scholarship to benefit teens with learning disabilities who plan on attending college.

Cristin's favorite color was purple. This teardrop is to honor the sadness of our loss but help to turn it into something beautiful, both to wear and to help people start their lives and follow their dreams and goals. I feel a little silly that it has taken me this long to think of this, but at least it is here.
